Atomic nuclei contain small amounts of magnetism, which is usually randomly oriented. MRI scanners are able to magnetize the protons in your body by aligning their magnetism in a strong magnetic field. Only then can radio waves emitted by the scanners coerce them to respond by emitting faint radio waves of their own and produce the MR images. Using lasers, our technology is able to achieve alignments of xenon or helium nuclei nearly one hundred thousand times greater than proton alignments achieved in MRI magnets. Consequently we can produce images from small concentrations of MagniXene™ or MagniLium™.
