MagniLium™

Helium-3 MRI is now being studied in scores of research laboratories around the world. Xemed technology will be able to offer high production rates and high polarizations, comparable to the best in the world, but in a compact device and at an affordable price.

Xemed accomplishes an improvement factor of several hundred by leveraging its core competencies. Detailed computer simulations predicted polarizer performance. Operating parameters were optimized. Internal components were scaled up to industrial proportions. Scientists and engineers worked out the design. The entire system is packaged into a single equipment rack. Automated computer control, internal diagnostic monitors, and safety and quality systems assure consistent and reliable operation.

Here we discuss the technology that has allowed us to scale up clinically useful production of MagniLium™. In separate sections we will discuss the potential clinical applications of MagniLium™ and the prospects and timetable for MagniLium™ to become an FDA-approved commercial product.
