HyperpolarizersAt the meeting of the Hyperpolarized Media Magnetic Resonance Study Group of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, held in Berlin in May, Xemed CEO announced the roadmap for new polarizer products. A new member of the MagniXene™ family of polarizers, XeBox-E10 would be available for order by second quarter 2008. This polarizer in final stages of testing will be capable of producing up to 10 liters per hour of MagniXene™ at over 50% polarization. Xemed’s new Helium-3 imaging agent MagniLium™ and a new polarizer to produce it were also announced at that meeting. The HeliBox-Z100 will be capable of producing as much as 100 liters/day at polarizations as high as 65%. Xemed would also be offering its Multi-species Noble Gas Hyperpolarizing System containing both the XeBox-E10 and HeliBox-Z100 polarizers in a single discounted package. This system would allow research centers to evaluate the merits of both noble gas species on an equal footing to answer broad scientific questions and to help determine national priorities. |
