Xemed is pursuing marketing approval for two magnetic resonance imaging agents, MagniXene™ and MagniLium™. These products, when breathed into the lungs, can be interrogated by the radio waves of the MRI scanner and report back physical and functional information on lung health and disease. Because no ionizing radiation is present in these products or in the scanning process, MRI scanning with magnetized gases is safer for repeated use, especially in children. — Imaging agents

The path to regulatory approval and commercial availability of MagniXene™ and MagniLium™ requires building a network of clinical collaborators to demonstrate the diagnostic effectiveness of these imaging agents and report data to the US Food and Drug Administration. To conduct these clinical trials, Xemed is assembling hyperpolarizers for its clinical partners and providing them through lease and license agreements for durations ranging from months to years. — Hyperpolarizers
